At the very least they got Imanaga's pitch count up that inning

People for whom it is obvious that Crawford's splitter isn't working: - Will Middlebrooks - all Cubs hitters
People for whom it is not obvious: - Crawford? - Wong? - Bailey?

Idea! The City announces Fenway must undergo a massive rat-elimination process and is shut down until after the all-star break, forcing the team on the road for the next several months. Benefits: 1. Huge drop in Boston’s rat population 2. Red Sox head into the break in playoff contention
Who says “no?”

Not a bad start for Crawford if you ask me. The BABIP killed him, but even so he never let things get out of hand.

If this is going to be what constitutes a “bad” Kutter start, 6 inning 4 runs, 3 earned, I’ll take it

Incredibly that was Joely only 2nd walk. Still hate him though

Absolute clown show of a butterfly effect inning started by walking the lead-off man.
I cannot wait until Joely, Bob, and Reyes are off this roster. I'm tired of free runs and free outs.

Pretty garbage luck with the BAPIP tonight, but I’m over Joely Rodriguez

This team should play the rest of the season on the road. Cant win a game at home if their life depended on jt

I honestly will take Reyes' over Valdez: Can fake it at few positions and better swing decisions.

I honestly will take Reyes' over Valdez: Can fake it at few positions and better swing decisions. at least with Valdez there is hope that he can develop into a good hitter though. Not so with Reyes. Anyways Valdez can be demoted and Reyes can’t so that’s fine, I’d just rather someone better from outside the org in that spot.

Reyes, Valdez, Dalbec, Hamilton, and for the most part, Rafaela are dead bats right now - for most, for the entire season start. Duran is in a pretty deep slump. Going to be hard to win lots of games with this. The number of solo homers is due to this - very little base traffic. Would prefer a goodbye for Joely as well.

I honestly will take Reyes' over Valdez: Can fake it at few positions and better swing decisions. The Christian Vázquez trade, like the Brandon Workman deal, was one of Chaim’s better moves. But Valdez is looking like he’s the Connor Seabold to Wilyer Abreu’s Nick Pivetta.

I honestly will take Reyes' over Valdez: Can fake it at few positions and better swing decisions. When Grissom comes back Valdez should be sent down, and when ANY pitching staff member comes back, Joely should go away.
