Keith Law is the Mel Kiper of baseball. Was that intended as in insult? Mel has a had an envious career while almost single-handedly launching an industry (for good or ill, you decide). I suppose comparing him to Keith Law was uncalled for.

Strikeout numbers escalating again. From someone who just sees the boxscores I see too many strikeouts and too many errors. Legit concerns or just numbers?

I have been fortunate to see him in person multiple times. I have no concerns about his defense. His offense is possibly hurting some because of the less than steller weather he has been playing in. Personally I would like to see more of an opposite field and up the middle approach to help him break out.

““What’s a duck boat?” Earlier this year, Red Sox prospect Marcelo Mayer interrupted a conversation with assistant director of player development Chris Stasio and teammates Roman Anthony and Kyle Teel for clarification. The group was discussing the documentary “Four Days In October” and the remarkable experiences of championship teams in Boston. […] As the players heard from Stasio about the parade of champions on amphibious vehicles, they became captivated. “Every time when we see him, we’re like, ‘You ever been on a Duck Boat? Let’s go!’ ” said Mayer, who now has a duck boat as the wallpaper on his phone.” - per Alex Speier www.bostonglobe.com/2024/05/09/sports/red-sox-prospects-mayer-anthony-teel/?event=event25

Quality reverse jinx - he hasn't struck out in five games since you posted this. .333/.381/.667 in those five games despite only a .278 BABIP. Strikeout rate is 21.8% on the year, and only 17.6% against right-handers.
